The guidance has been developed to support practitioners across the partnership to make informed decisions about the levels of need, appropriate support pathways, and referrals into services. It is intended to provide a consistent framework and common language when discussing concerns about children and families, helping ensure that children receive the right support at the right time.

Please share this guidance widely with your colleagues and partner organisations, encouraging its use as the common reference point when making contacts and referrals to the Children’s Single Point of Access (CSPOA). The guidance also outlines the different levels of help available and supports multi-agency decision-making.
