Autism Berkshire is now providing the new Berkshire Adult Autism Support Service, to help autistic adults aged 18+ throughout the county.
The aim of the service, which is funded by the Frimley NHS Integrated Care System and the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West NHS Integrated Care System, is to provide advice and support to autistic adults who do not meet the criteria for help from specialist NHS-funded services, such as mental health and learning disability teams.
Help available from the Berkshire Adult Autism Support Service includes:
- Adult Support Helpline
- One-to-one Support
- Autism advice workshops
- Problem-solving and advice sessions for autistic adults and their parents and carers at the Atrium coffee shop at Greyfriars Church in Reading town centre
- Activity groups – details to follow soon
