The AB Charitable Trust is an independent grant-making organisation, founded in 1990 to champion human dignity and support marginalised and excluded groups. One of their priorities is to support charities working with migrants and refugees.

The Trust recognises that charities offer a range of interventions to support people who are migrants, refugees and seeking asylum, while operating in a difficult context. They aim to support charities who are working to respond to immediate needs within communities, as well as those working towards a consistent and fair policy environment.

The Trust generally makes one-off grants to charities registered and working in the UK with annual incomes between £150,000 and £1.5m that do not have substantial investments or surpluses. Grants are generally in the range of £10,000 to £20,000.

What can the grant be used for?

Charities may apply for both core costs and project work.

Is there a deadline?

The Grants Committee meets four times a year to decide upon grant applications. The next application deadline is 31 July 2021 with decisions made in October.
