Can you play a musical instrument?
Are you a local musician looking to share the joy of music with others?
A number of people we support in Woodley enjoy listening to all different kinds of instruments and music genres – and would love to be introduced to some new ones too.
So if you can tinkle out some tunes on the keyboard, jazz up the saxophone or rock out on an electric guitar, then we would like to hear from you.
Activities will include:
- Playing an instrument of your choice!
- Finding out the kind of music / songs the people we support enjoy
- Talking to them about music and the instruments
Activities will NOT include: Personal care, medication or financial assistance.
We are looking for volunteers who are:
- Able to play a musical instrument (any level of skill is welcome)
- Comfortable to play in front of people
- Happy to take requests and suggest things to be played
- Friendly, chatty and a good listener
- Reliable/dependable and willing to commit to volunteer regularly (exact times/days can be discussed)
