Trustee / Committee volunteers needed for Autism Berkshire in RG1

Main responsibilities of the job

  • Attend quarterly Board meetings, joining with the other trustees to make specific and strategic decisions about the business and direction of the charity
  • Attend the annual ‘away day’ with members of the Senior management team to write the strategic plan
  • Attend the AGM
  • If taking a particular responsibility for part of the charity’s activities, be part of or run a sub-committee to determine and periodically review related activities
  • Be responsive to and knowledgeable about changes in national or local government policy and legislation concerning children and adults with Autism and their carers
  • Support the society with attendance at major fundraising and publicity events, time allowing
  • Volunteer to represent the society on a forum or steering group, time allowing
