Help provide assistance to those who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces and their families
Befriending / Visiting volunteers needed for Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen’s Families Association (SSAFA) in RG30
SSAFA – the Armed Forces charity – require Volunteer Caseworkers in Reading.
Caseworkers provide social and welfare assistance to those who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces and their families. The charity has an office in Brock Barracks, Oxford Road; open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10.00 to 12.00am.
The role is very flexible and some work can be carried out at home. The Caseworkers do not need to be in the office for all the times.
We offer practical, emotional and financial support to meet individual needs. We visit people in their own homes to assess their needs. Caseworkers then approach service and civilian charities to fund the needs. A knowledge of IT will be useful.
Training is given at the Central Office in London. The office is supported by a Berkshire County office.
