Be part of this years Oxjam Reading Takeover – 13/10/18

Stewarding / Event Support volunteers needed for Oxjam Reading Takeover

We are looking for volunteers to help us make our annual music festival in Reading a success and raise funds to support the vital work of Oxfam.

Oxjam Reading Takeover takes place on Saturday 13th October 2018 noon – 11pm across 8 venues* with local Reading artists and bands playing.

Your duties may include (depending on venue and time of day):
– Exchanging pre-booked tickets for wristbands
– Selling wristbands and single venue entry tickets
– Raising awareness of Oxfam’s work (full info will be provided)
– Fundraising with donation buckets
– Selling Oxjam merchandise e.g. t-shirts
– Handing out event flyers

In exchange for your time, you will receive an Oxjam wristband to enjoy the festival outside of volunteering. We ask for approximately 4 hours of your time and breaks will be provided.

You are welcome to volunteer with friends; please mention their name when you sign up.

A briefing will be provided on the day before you start and you will be supported throughout the day from your dedicated Venue Manager and Volunteer Co-ordinators, Lauren and Rob.

Oxjam Reading Takeover has raised around £55,000 in the past 5 years and we hope to raise a further £10,000 with your help!

*Venues include: Oakford Social Club, The Purple Turtle, Milk, The Sun Inn, Pavlov’s Dog, Facebar, RISC Global Cafe and Oxjam Bus (Friar Street).
