Farmers’ Market seeks group to cook breakfasts

Primary interest
Volunteering

Thames Valley Farmers’ Market Co-operative is keen to find a community group that would be willing to cook hot breakfasts at Reading Farmers’ Market as a regular fundraiser. The stall would be free of charge, they would waive the annual fee and they would also be willing to pay for a Level 2 food hygiene certificate. Tables for the stall and bistro chairs and tables for customers would all be provided. The market is under cover so there will be no need for a gazebo.

The group would need to bring their own cooking equipment and would need to commit to buying their key ingredients from traders at the market at preferential prices – a list of ingredients can be downloaded, along with some instructions for cooking at markets.

The market takes place on two Saturday mornings each month at the old cattle market in Great Knollys Street. Any groups interested should contact Sarah Smith at info@tvfm.org.uk.
