2 year old funding
  • Your child may be eligible to 2 Year Old Funding, if you are in receipt of certain benefits or other criteria. Funding is for 570 hours free early education or childcare per year (15 hours per week over 38 weeks) from the term after a child’s second birthday.

3 and 4 year old Early Years Funding
  • All children are eligible to 570 hours free early education or childcare per year (15 hours per week over 38 weeks) from the term after a child’s third birthday.
  • Children must be attending a childcare provider during headcount week to access the funding for that term.

30 hours childcare
  • Working parents of 3 and 4 year olds may be eligible to an additional 15 hours funding per week (30 hours childcare).
  • To find out more and to apply for the funding visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk or our advice and guidance page 3 and 4 Year Old Free Early Years Funding (including 30 Hours Childcare)
  • If you think you may be eligible for the 30 hours childcare from April 2022, then apply for your 30 hour code before the 3 March 2022.
  • If you are receiving the 30 hours funding you must confirm your details are up to date every 3 months.
