Herjeet oversees the Advice Service at RVA, advising voluntary and community groups on the legal and technical issues of running a charity or voluntary sector organisation. Areas of advice include: charity law, company law, employment law, contract law, health and safety, data protection, safeguarding and more.

She also supports organisations to attain the Safe and Sound Quality Award, Reading’s very own good governance award, as well as commissioning and delivering a wide range of affordable training for the sector.

Herjeet joined RVA in 2016. She has a background in Law and charity management, having started her career as a solicitor before moving to the voluntary sector. She is passionate about local communities and a champion for the voluntary sector.
