Research conducted by RVA has found that more than a third of local voluntary organisations have no recent online activity.
RVA has already delivered basic workshops on web design and social media to local charities, but would like to extend this project to involve a significant number of volunteers and leave a legacy for the future.
This project aims to work more closely with organisations that need to build their web presence and help them develop them the skills and confidence to maintain it themselves. The focus will be on helping organisations to generate their own high quality content, including pictures and video, and present it with more impact on their web site, while developing their social media presence.
This project also aims to build a strong team of volunteers with the skills to carry the work forward in the future and enable other participating organisations to do the same. Volunteers will learn to provide training and technical and artistic support. As well as benefiting community cohesion this project will equip participating volunteers, in RVA and outside, with skills that are in great demand in today’s labour market.
We are looking for local voluntary organisations that would like help with their website and for volunteers to support the project. Please contact David Neale firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in participating.
