Finance volunteer needed for Crohn’s and Colitis UK – Berkshire Local Network

Join our team of volunteers who organise awareness raising activities and fundraise in the local community to promote our presence and bring people together locally. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in any of these activities alongside the finance role if you’d like to which include:

What the role involves:

  • Approve invoices, bills, cheques and donations on behalf of the team.
  • Liaise with the Volunteer Co-ordinated / Treasurer to arrange payments and request the account balance.
  • Pay any donated cash direct into the bank account and keep a record of payments.

Join our team of volunteers who organise awareness raising activities and fundraise in the local community to promote our presence and bring people together locally. You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in any of these activities alongside the finance role if you’d like to which include:

  • Organising education and information sessions, social activities
  • editing newsletters
  • managing social media pages
  • fundraising
  • campaigning.

The role is very flexible and volunteers can get involved at any time – most activities take place during evenings and weekends but there are opportunities during the day too! The team usually organise 5-10 events throughout the year and you can get involved from as little as 8 hours a month or more.

This is a great opportunity to be involved in your local community, enhance and learn new skills such as financial co-ordination, leadership, communication, and be part of a fun and compassionate team. Learn about the work of a national health charity, and be an important part of the work of Crohn’s and Colitis UK supporting those affected by IBD.
