This summer the ‘Reading Abbey Revealed’ project will achieve one of its major milestones – the re-opening of Reading Abbey Ruins on Saturday 16 June.
Reading Abbey has been closed for almost ten years and we want people from Reading and further afield to celebrate the revival of our local gem.
We are looking for sociable, confident people to join our team of stewards for the re-opening of ‘Reading Abbey Revealed’ festival, which comprises of a free day event alongside Water Fest and a ticketed evening event.
The stewards will be the first point of contact for many people attending and finding out about the event and so will be very much the ‘face’ of the festival.
As a steward, you will be positioned across the Abbey Quarter and town centre, acting as a point of contact for visitors wanting to visit the abbey.
Your duties on the day will rotate and could include:
- Directing visitors to the Abbey Quarter
- Litter picking to keep the site looking well-kept
- Counting visitors
- Taking surveys/questionnaires with visitor
- Acting as a point of contact for visitors needing help or information
Complete the form found HERE to join the team.
