Team Reading: Be part of Reading’s Disability Awareness Day – 15 August 2019
Stewarding / Event Support volunteers needed for Reading Borough Council (RBC) in RG1
Reading’s Physical Disability and Sensory Needs Network is hosting the town’s second Disability Awareness Day on Thursday 15 August 2019 at The Oracle’s Centre.
The event will celebrate the diversity of Reading residents and visitors who may have a long-term condition, a physical disability, sensory need or neurological condition. Disabled people, their families, carers, voluntary organisations and other service providers will have the opportunity to gather and be part of what promises to be a fun filled and informative day.
We are seeking volunteers in the day to help with a range of tasks, including:
- Helping with Set-up
- Welcoming Visitors
- Promoting the Event in the Town Centre
- Helping with Refreshments
- Signposting Visitors
- General Assistance
