Provide companionship to those in later life
Befriending / Visiting volunteers needed for Civil Service Retirement Fellowship
The National Visitors Network is a UK wide scheme where volunteers provide companionship to those in later life who find themselves lonely or isolated.
These visits can make a real difference in people’s lives and provide much needed social contact. With Britain’s ageing population, loneliness is only getting more common and befriending schemes play a huge role in alleviating this struggle.
All our volunteers are provided with training prior to beginning their volunteering and all reasonable travel expenses are reimbursed.
We ask that volunteers commit to 6 months of visiting.
