Patient, sympathetic and methodical? Join our caseworker team

Support volunteers needed for Reading Refugee Support Group in RG1

Reading Refugee Support Group has spent 25 years helping refugees and people seeking asylum as they try to rebuild their lives in Reading and greater Berkshire.

We are seeking Volunteer Caseworkers to join our Casework Team and directly aid our clients, by advising and supporting them with their issues around housing, benefits, legal status, poverty and more.

We need patient, sympathetic and methodical volunteers, who want to help our clients and are confident in following processes and advocating on their behalf.

Volunteer Caseworkers will be based in our busy Reading office and are needed for four hours per week. We also usually ask for a commitment of at least 6 months.

We offer two full days of OISC training as part of your induction, as well as continual ad hoc training. Previous experience in any advice setting is useful but not essential.
