Looking for a part time and extremely rewarding voluntary position? Then come join us – we are currently looking for new trustees to join Babies in Buscot Support’s Board of Trustees.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in a small charity that provides a truly valuable service to the many babies born ill or premature in Reading every year by supporting The Royal Berkshire Hospital’s neonatal unit through providing support, fundraising, awareness raising and purchasing vital equipment.
The Board of Trustees meets in the evening approximately four times per year, and there is also a small amount of additional work depending on the role (a few hours a month).
We are especially interested in the following experience:
- Finance / Accounting
- IT/Web Development
- Charity leadership / governance
However, we are open to hearing from you if you feel you have something additional to bring to the table! We will favourably consider any application from individuals with a direct or close experience of neonatal care.Trustees are expected to attend all board meetings.
Board meetings are held approximately four times per year from 8-10pm in Reading. Papers are distributed one week in advance of meetings. Trustees are invited to the annual general meeting (AGM), which takes place during an evening in the autumn.
Trustees are expected to do a limited number of hours to support in trustee duties, including attending the occasional event in the evening or on a weekend.
