Marketing / PR volunteers needed for Reading Fringe Festival (RFF)
The Reading Fringe Festival are looking for a volunteer marketing assistant to help steer the marketing strategy of the festival and to support the marketing team lead and festival committee.
This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience in media and event marketing and become part of a dynamic creative team as well as gain the benefits of becoming a true community volunteer.
Typical tasks may include:
- Contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies.
- Managing communication with target audiences.
- Managing social media marketing.
- Writing press releases and online content.
- Managing the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, video logs, short promotional videos.
- Arranging the effective distribution of marketing materials.
- Assisting in organising promotional activities.
- Evaluating marketing campaigns.

Continuous involvement throughout the year. Increased involvement during specific promotional events in the build up to the Fringe festival throughout the months leading up to July. The main Fringe week takes place 15th - 19th July so most involvement will be needed before, during and after this time.

Description of support
There is a core committee who will provide full support. Previous marketing assistants are available to offer advice and assistance. Regular meetings and events take place throughout the year where support is available from all team members.

The Reading Fringe Festival is a self funded not for profit organisation entirely run by volunteers. Fringe events take place throughout the year with the main fringe week being held in July to bring theatre, comedy, music, film and art to various locations in central Reading.
