Interested in growing fruit and vegetables from seed?
Gardening / Outdoor work volunteers needed for Food4Families in RG2
Food4Families (F4F) is a community food growing project that has created a network of food growing gardens across Reading where residents can learn how to grow their own food together.
These gardens are on allotment sites, school playing fields and communal land.
Each garden has its own dedicated tutor and the project provides seeds, tools and other equipment to enable them to get growing.
We attempt to grow all our own plug plants in our poly-tunnel at our training base and are looking for people to help with seed sowing, potting on and other propagation related tasks.
The base also has actual beds for growing on the fruit and vegetables and this garden also requires some basic maintenance.
