Helpers needed for our Gardening Group
Gardening / Outdoor work volunteers needed for Alzheimer’s Society
We are seeking volunteers to support our Gardening for the Brian group, playing a vital role in enabling people with dementia to access a valuable service and take advantage of an opportunity for socialising and getting out and about.
The group meet once a month on a Wednesday for some light gardening (weather permitting) and nature-related arts, crafts and activities. We require some general assistance from a willing volunteer, duties will range from making tea and coffee to supporting people living with dementia to participate in gardening, arts and crafts.
The role will suit you particularly if you enjoy nature and the outdoors, are patient, enjoy socialising and have a few hours to spare each month.
A small team volunteer at the Gardening for the Brain group. They have fun and at the same time make an enormous difference to peoples’ lives.
