Help us cook a tasty caribbean style meal each week
Catering volunteers needed for The Globe Lunch Club in RG30
The Globe Lunch Club serves a hot meal to around 30 elderly members of the local BAME community each week.
Each week members get together for the chance to hear talks, take part in exercise classes, get some help with IT and share a meal.
We are seeking volunteers from the BAME community to help out in the kitchen to prepare a hot meal. Meals are typically of a Caribbean style with, potatoes, vegetables, noodles rice and peas. Most weeks we serve vegan/ vegetarian food.
Tasks will include:
- Food prep.
- Washing up.
- Tidying the kitchen.
- Loading the dishwasher.
- Helping with plating up.
- Supporting the waiting staff.
You would be working as part of a team including the chef and the lunch club coordinator.
There will be an opportunity to chat with dinners once the meal has been served.
