Help those facing mental health challenges enjoy the benefits of fresh air and exercise

Gardening / Outdoor work volunteer needed for Compass Recovery College in RG4

Alongside the Recovery Worker at our Allotment Project, you will support a small group of people, living with mental health challenges, to feel comfortable in the environment, socialise with others and join in a range of gardening tasks according to their interests and abilities.

The aim of the project is to provide an opportunity for people to get some fresh air and exercise, learn about or share their knowledge of growing food and flowers and to relax in a safe space.

It would suit someone who likes chatting and is happy to be outdoors in most weathers. A calm and gentle disposition is important. Gardening skills are not necessary.
