Do you know your Beatles from your Bluetones or your Skepta from your Stormzy?

Shop work / Retail volunteers needed for Oxfam Music Shop (Reading) in RG1

Do you love music? Why not come & join our friendly and motivated volunteer team at the Oxfam Reading Music Shop?

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to work on the Rock & Pop sections of our attractive second-hand music store in the centre of Reading, and whether it be CD or Vinyl, we’re looking for volunteers who can help to sort, price and merchandise our fabulous donated stock.

Once trained, tasks may include:

  • Receiving donations, sorting, valuing & pricing donated stock.
  • Displaying and replenishing donated stock in line with shop standards.
  • Researching and listing our stock online for a worldwide audience.
  • Visual merchandising & window displays.
  • Providing Customer service & operating the till.

A decent knowledge of Rock & Pop music would be fantastic, but you certainly don’t need to be an expert! We just want someone reliable and enthusiastic who will do what they can to support Oxfam and the rest of the team.

Learn new skills, improve your CV and meet new friends, whilst also helping Oxfam and those suffering from poverty in the UK and abroad.

No experience required as full training provided, but we require that you are dedicated, reliable and willing to learn.

An ideal opportunity to gain fantastic work experience and meet new people whilst contributing to an exciting and innovative international charity!
