Could you manage our annual Toys and Teens Appeal?

Coordination / Projects volunteer needed for Reading Family Aid

Annual Toys and Teens Toy Project Manager

Reading Family Aid is run entirely by a diverse group of volunteers. Each year we organise the amazing Toys and Teens Appeal which provides donated toys to hundreds of disadvantaged Reading families.

The Toy Project is a major project that involves the whole committee. The Project runs mainly from June to December each year, although this role is really a year-round role. It culminates in a week in early December when all the donated toys are checked and sorted and then packed up for each family.

We are looking for someone to manage this project. This will involve planning, confirming sponsors, organising who from the committee is doing what and monitoring progress during the lead-up to the main Toy Project Week in early December. You would also be overseeing the activities during that Week and providing updates on progress to the committee.

You must be a good organiser and have good interpersonal skills. You will need to be very comfortable using email, Word and Excel. You must have your own Windows Laptop (not MAC) and printer.

You must have the energy, enthusiasm and time to devote to the project. Full training and support will be given by the existing Project Manager.

Come and join us and help to put more smiles on more children’s faces!
