Be part of this new project helping those with hearing loss
Information / Advice volunteers needed for Action on Hearing Loss
You can play an important role in a new UK-wide project, called Hear to Inform and Connect?
The project aims to expand our volunteer-led information services for older and isolated people with hearing loss across South East England. We are aiming to increase the number of older people who take action to manage their hearing loss and tinnitus.
By working closely with other local organisations and community groups we want to help make their services more accessible and inclusive for people with hearing loss. You will be involved in delivering information services in your local community, and for raising awareness of the work of Action on Hearing Loss.
As an Information Volunteer you will provide information on deafness, hearing loss and tinnitus to deaf and hard of hearing older people, their families and carers, local community groups and organisations. You will provide a signposting service as well as offer hearing checks and guidance on getting support.
