Be part of our Event Team to help Make Reading Friendlier!

Stewarding / Event Support volunteers needed for Reading Voluntary Action (RVA) in RG1

Let’s Make Reading Friendlier is a conference to bring local residents, charities, businesses, health professionals and the local authority together and explore ways to reduce loneliness in Reading.

There will be a marketplace, showcasing what local organisations are doing, various speakers and discussion workshops to encourage people to take action and work together to building a friendlier Reading.

We are looking for a team of event volunteers who will help with welcome and registration, with ushering people in the right direction to various workshops, and with taking notes in the discussions.

Volunteers should be friendly and welcoming, and keen to lend a hand for a one off event. It will involve interacting with the public and feeling comfortable directing people and letting them know what’s going on.

Volunteers are welcome to volunteer for the whole event: 2pm – 9pm (2pm set up for 3pm start until 8pm finish and out by 9pm) or can sign up to help with a shift: 2pm – 5:45pm or 5:15pm – 9pm.
