Tilehurst Together

Many of us feel lonely or isolated at times. Building on a gap identified through Reading Voluntary Action’s Social Prescribing service, Tilehurst Together is a new project which aims to bring together local people to support each other, make new connections and get involved in the community.

We are a friendly group, and on alternate Mondays we have activity sessions at a church hall in Tilehurst. Upcoming sessions include a talk on happiness, and one on indoor gardening. Earlier in the year we enjoyed a Tai Chi for health session! On the other Mondays, we go for a gentle walk together, and then have a chat at the Tylers Rest. Details are in the flyers below.

The group is currently funded by the Longleigh Foundation through the Berkshire Community Foundation’s Life Less Lonely grants programme.
