Having a child with special educational needs (SEN) can be complex and confusing. Formerly called the Parent Partnership, our service provides information, support and advice for parents/carers of children with special educational needs. The service is free, confidential and impartial.
We can help by:
- Explaining the legal process around support for children with SEN
- Helping with the application process for an Education Health and Care Plan (or Statement), including help with paperwork
- Helping the parent/carer to communicate effectively with nursery, school or college on issues relating to SEN
- Supporting parents/carers in meetings with school
