Give&TakeCare is a befriending service run from Age Concern Twyford and District. Our volunteers can help with administration, lifts or accompanying people to shops, garden centres and appointments or just being company for them at home.

For each hour someone volunteers they bank an hour’s GAT (effectively and hour’s care for themselves) which they can use when they are older or pass on to a relative or friend or partner.

People who register for a befriender pay a £1 an hour fee – this is for admin of the scheme and to sustain the project.
