The Mustard Tree Foundation have been contracted by Reading Borough Council to run the First Stop Bus service, for both weekend and midweek community use.

The First Stop Bus is a valuable community resource. So far its main function has been the Night Time Economy use as a safe-haven to improve safety for people in Reading weekend evenings, helping prevent unnecessary admissions to A&E. Another key purpose is as a health outreach service and community educational facility, partnering with community groups and local organisations midweek.

All volunteers will be fully first aid trained and will also receive extra training for shifts on the bus. If you want to meet new people whilst giving back to your local community then we would love to hear from you!

The FIRST Stop Bus is part of local charity,The Mustard Tree Foundation.
