The importance of our having a membership is that it gives ownership of RVA to the organisations we seek to serve. Our services are provided to local organisations on the basis of need and all charities and community groups registered on the RVA Directory and/or using our services are members of Reading Voluntary Action.
Under the terms of our constitution however it is the voting membership who are ultimately in control. Organisations can apply for voting membership here to so that they can increase their influence on our work and help shape what we do directly.
