Welfare Benefits Caseworker – closing date 20 October 2020

Citizens Advice Reading is a large and busy town centre Advice Centre which delivers a range of advice services, funded by local and national contracts.

We are delighted to have secured funding for a new Welfare Benefits Caseworker to join our busy and ambitious advice team. The role is for a fixed term of 12 months, working 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE). Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • running your own caseload
  • advising clients on the full range of benefits and social fund payments
  • supporting clients through the mandatory reconsideration process
  • contributing to maintaining and developing a quality service.

To be successful you will be a fully trained Adviser at Citizens Advice or equivalent and have an in depth knowledge and experience of welfare benefits. You will also be organised and able to run a caseload independently.
