As a Support Worker, you will support and pastorally care for a young person with additional needs throughout their NCS (National Citizen Service) journey. NCS is a government-funded programme that brings together young people from varied backgrounds through four weeks (18 days) of physical, personal and creative challenges, leading to social action projects in their communities. In 2018 we reached over 40,000 15 to 17 year olds and worked with 4,500 seasonal staff!
Reporting to the Youth Programme Leader, and working closely with the Team Mentors, you’ll identify barriers stopping your young person from engaging, and find solutions, adapting the NCS curriculum so they can join into their full potential.
Support Workers are matched to a young person based on their needs and availability. This role is perfect for educational or care professionals with experience in SEND, behavioural, mental health and/or physical disability support.
