Specialist Outreach Worker (Forced Marriage and Honour-Based Abuse) – closing date 21 May 2018

Berkshire Women’s Aid is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, based in Reading, which provides support to victims of domestic abuse across Reading, Wokingham and Bracknell.

Berkshire Women’s Aid are looking to recruit a Specialist Outreach Worker for the Reading Outreach team who has experience with forced marriage and honour-based abuse, to provide support and information to service users who have experienced violence and cruelty at home or in a close relationship. This role requires specialist language skills – please see job description.

The role is 18 hours per week.

An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate for this role.

For the above vacancy, the ideal candidate will have experience of working in a confidential and safeguarding environment, and have an understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on families.
