Specialist outreach worker – closing date 3 April 2018

Berkshire Women’s Aid is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, based in Reading, which provides support to victims of domestic abuse across Reading, Wokingham and Bracknell.

Berkshire Women’s Aid are looking to recruit a Specialist Outreach Worker for the Reading Outreach Team, who has experience with forced marriage and honour-based abuse. The Specialist Outreach Worker will provide support and information to service users who have experienced violence and cruelty at home or in a close relationship. This role requires specialist language skills – please see the job description.

An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate for this role.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a confidential and safeguarding environment, and have an understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on families.
