Berkshire Women’s Aid (BWA) provides confidential support, information, IDVA and outreach services. We run adult group work, children’s group work, a complex needs project, a vulnerable women’s service, medium risk safety planning and a BAMER project. BWA also provide support for male victims and runs a programme called Family Choices which is a perpetrator programme aimed at preventing domestic abuse, reducing repeat incidents and the impact of abusive relationships.
BWA is looking for an experienced manager who will oversee and develop these services. You will ensure that BWA provides high-quality independent advocacy and support to all victims of domestic abuse and their children.
With an ability to manage crisis services and work under pressure you will have an up-to-date knowledge of criminal and civil legislation relating to domestic abuse and violence. You will understand multi-agency partnership working, including MARACs, and be able to present well-structured cases in a range of settings, including civil and criminal proceedings.
