Sanctuary Hosting is a small Oxford-based charity working across the Thames Valley to match homeless asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants with people who offer a rent-free spare room for an agreed period of time.
- The role is expected to be mostly home-based, with some meetings in the office based in Cowley, Oxford.
- Hours: 15 per week
The role is new, created to respond to the growth of the service. You will support the smooth running of the hosting scheme, assisting the Service Coordinator in processing incoming referrals, volunteer applications and matching of volunteers to guests.
You will need experience of working in an administrative role, record keeping and data entry. You will also need to have empathy for vulnerable people, preferably refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants. The role requires strong team work, communication, organisational and IT skills. You will need to be able to work flexibly, including undertaking occasional out of hours and weekend work.
We are committed to welcoming people from the widest possible diversity of background, culture and experience. As part of its recruitment and selection procedures Sanctuary Hosting conducts DBS checks of all staff and volunteers.
