Reading Games Club Youth Club Leader – closing date 20 October 2017

We are seeking an enthusiastic and active Youth Club Leader to run our Reading Games Club. Experience working in youth social clubs is preferred.

The main purpose of the role is to plan and run games, group exercises and activities for children aged 8 to 15 with an autism spectrum condition, and supporting children and teenagers who may not be taking part in the main group tasks, either playing board games or assisting with arts and crafts activities in the quiet area.

The group leader is also responsible for supervising two staff members and two volunteers, maintaining accurate records and undertaking other tasks as required by the CEO for the efficient running of the group.

The Games Club meets fortnightly on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month during school terms, between 2pm and 4pm at Emmer Green Youth & Community Centre.

The post is offered on a fixed-term contract basis until 31 March 2018.
