Children Heard and Seen is a charity within the Thames Valley Area that works to support children and families affected by parental imprisonment. This post delivers a key function of our work, namely direct support for families affected by parental imprisonment who live in Reading.
This is a varied and interesting role, and initially the post holder will identify and scope the needs of children of prisoners who live in the Reading area. A major part of the role will be to provide 1:1 support to families and also facilitate group work sessions with children and young people.
This role is 24 hours per week on a fixed term, one year contract.
A relevant qualification in health or social care or youth work is desirable, but having experience of community work and case management is essential.
