Project Manager – closing date 10 June 2019

Whitley Excellence Cluster (WEC) comprises 10 schools working in the South Reading locality and The Avenue Special School, based in Tilehurst. We have worked collaboratively for 30 years, and have established our own Charity, Aspire2, to support enrichment activities for local children and their families.

Are you a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently? Do you have energy, enthusiasm and creativity as well as a passion for supporting children living in a challenging area? If so we would love to hear from you and talk to you about the work we do.

We are looking for someone with a knowledge of the education system and of how charities operate. The work will involve facilitating meetings at all levels, and minuting those meetings, as well as looking for funding opportunities and developing effective links with local, regional and national organisations. The post will initially be for 20 hours per week, and will involve some work in the school holidays. The post is initially offered for a period of one year, starting in September, but with every expectation that the role will continue beyond 12 months.

Closing date Monday 10 June. Interviews will be on Wednesday 12 June.
