Outreach Worker (Reading) – closing date 25 September 2017

Berkshire Women’s Aid is looking to recruit an outreach worker based in Reading, to provide support and information to clients who have experienced violence or cruelty at home or in a close relationship. The post holder will be working in partnership with other agencies such as Children’s Social Care and Health to reduce risk and improve safety.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a confidential and safeguarding environment, and have an understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on families.

Full time, permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week. Annual Leave: 25 days.

The vacancy is exempt under the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1. The successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check.
