Reading Refugee Support Group has gone through an exciting period of growth and expansion. We are seeking to bring in further expertise, skills and experience to underpin the organisation ensuring the smooth and professional day-to-day running of our busy office.
You will have at least one year’s experience of managing an office, preferably in a client-facing charity, or similar environment. You will have initiative, a sense of humour and enjoy being part of a team, with excellent organisational, communication and computer skills (MS Office, Office365, social media apps). You will have experience of general office duties including using a database, banking and petty cash control, and admin support for meetings. You will also be responsible for coordinating our volunteers, ensuring they are recruited, inducted and supported. Ideally you will have previous experience of working with volunteers, but this is not essential.
Overall you will share RRSG’s commitment to working with a very vulnerable client group and will be aware this can be a challenging environment at times. Excellent spoken and written English is essential to this post. Other languages may be of benefit. Attendance at management committee meetings may be required.
