Reading Mencap is expanding and developing its ME Day Activity Service and we are seeking an experienced manager to run the enhanced service.
This is an exciting time for the ME Day Activity Service, which offers a host of meaningful activities for adults with learning disabilities aimed at increasing their independence and helping them gain new skills. The service is led by the people who use it.
The ME Day Service Manager will have responsibility for the management of the service, ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users, the supervision of staff and volunteers and the development of the service.
Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 3 in Care or its equivalent and have experience of working with people with learning disabilities and autism.
Work arrangements: 30 hours per week to be worked flexibly over 5 days, Monday to Friday, at our centre in Alexandra Road, Reading and a second ME venue.
