Family Support Co-ordinator – closing date 20 March 2017

As part of the Berkshire-wide “Building Family Bridges” project (led by WEA, Workers Educational Association) in which Home-Start Reading is a partner, you will give personal encouragement and practical support to a small number of vulnerable parents, involving them in planning and carrying through activities which will help them towards future employment.

This post will suit someone with a warm, patient personality, who can manage their own targets and timetable to research local education, training and employment possibilities to suit the needs of individual parents, and to keep meticulous records using Word and Excel. It will involve liaising with other Home-Start staff and volunteers and other local voluntary organisations contributing to the same programme.

Part time, 15 hours per week. This is a fixed-term appointment to 30 November 2019.
