Cleaner/Caretaker – closing date 14 July 2017

At Reading International Solidarity Centre (RISC) we are looking for a part-time caretaker/cleaner. RISC is a Development Education Centre close to the heart of Reading’s town centre. It works with schools and community groups to raise the profile of global issues and promote action for sustainability, human rights and social justice. It is Reading’s number one community hub which includes the World (fair trade) Shop, Global Cafe, exhibition space, meeting rooms, conference facilities, and a roof garden with edible plants.

The caretaker/cleaner is a very important member of the Caretaking team as they are often meeting and greeting our many room-users.

We are looking for someone who can be flexible, with good communication skills and who can ensure that a polite and professional manner is maintained at all times. There is some manual handling (training will be given) and some late night working (10pm).

The role is a permanent, part time position of 14 hours a week — hours to be agreed with your supervisor.

Interviews will be during the week beginning 24 July 2017.
