An opportunity for a self-motivated person with the right skills and experience to lead the Children and Young person clinical services of Reading and Berkshire Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre.
The C&YP Lead will be responsible for promoting, developing and maintaining play therapy and specialist counselling support services offered to children and young people who have been affected by rape and sexual abuse.
The C&YP Lead will maintain a small caseload and will lead, manage and inspire a team of counsellors and volunteers. The post holder will ensure services are delivered in accordance with appropriate standards and requirements as specified in Trust House Reading’s policies and procedures. Furthermore the post holder will adopt the guidelines presented by the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board (LSCB) to ensure the welfare and safety of our young clients. This will include networking and developing partnerships regionally and locally with statutory and voluntary agencies in order to present an exemplary standard of service for our clients and their families.
They will also ensure that services are delivered in accordance with appropriate clinical standards and protocols and any specific requirements from the Management Committee, funders and commissioners.
