Centre Facilities Manager – closing date 24 June 2019

The Weller Centre is a vibrant local community centre which was remodelled, substantially rebuilt and re-opened two years ago. The management of the centre is a joint venture between The Earley Charity and Reading Borough Council.

We require a Centre Facilities Manager to facilitate the effective running of the Weller Centre, overseeing and improving the office and financial systems of the centre and acting as a key point of interaction between users, staff, hirers, stakeholders and the public. You will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the building itself. You will support the governance of the centre by keeping a record of usage and of income and expenditure.

You will have excellent organisation skills, be a great communicator (verbal and written) and possess excellent interpersonal skills as you will be interacting with a wide cross section of people.
In addition you must be a self-starter, able to manage your own work load and have the ability to achieve through a team.

Education to degree level, proficiency in Microsoft Office and an understanding of Health and Safety Legislation is required. Some evening and weekend work is also required.
