We are looking for a Care Support Worker to join the ME Day Activity Service, which is expanding and developing.
This is an exciting time for the ME Day Activity Service, which offers a host of meaningful activities for adults with learning disabilities aimed at increasing their independence and helping them gain new skills. The service is led by the people who use it.
The post holder will be part of a small team maintaining the welfare of service users at all times. You will provide practical assistance to service users including support with activities, personal care, everyday living skiills and travel awareness.
Ideally, applicants will have experience of working with people with learning disabilities and autism or in a caring role working with other vulnerable people.
Work arrangements: part-time 7 hours per day, to be worked Monday to Friday, with some flexibility to cover other days. Up to three days are available.
The post holder will be working at our centre in Alexandra Road, Reading and a second ME venue.
