Victim Support has an exciting opportunity for a Bereaved by Suicide Project Co-ordinator in Slough and Wokingham. This is a 6-month fixed term contract, 25 hours per week
Victim Support is developing an exciting and innovative service model to support people bereaved by suicide in Wokingham and Slough. Leading the development of the project and delivering support to people bereaved by suicide, we are looking for a project coordinator to lead and oversee the delivery of this service.
As Project Coordinator you will support people directly, working with them to identify their unique needs and you will develop and maintain effective relationships and formal partnerships across organisations and with key stakeholders, and promote and develop the service.
You will also represent the charity in an appropriate and professional manner to stakeholders, external bodies and the media, advocating on behalf of those bereaved by suicide.
You must have experience of operating in a service delivery environment, working with vulnerable people. You will need to have had experience of developing and coordinating project activities. A proven knowledge of the legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements relevant to a national charity is essential.
Please note that travel across Wokingham and Slough is an essential part of this role and you may be asked to work unsociable hours on occasion.
