Volunteer Taster Day

Wednesday 1 November 2017

Thrive is the leading charity in the UK that uses gardening to bring about positive changes in the lives of people who are living with disabilities or ill health or are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable.

If you would like to find out more about volunteering in our gardens, supporting our clients, please book a place at our taster session. The session includes an introduction to Thrive, a tour of the gardens and time spent in the garden working with one of our groups.

We are looking for people who can commit to one day a week from 10 am to 3 pm. Experience or knowledge of gardening or disability is not essential. More importantly we need people who are happy to work outdoors and are supportive, patient and sociable.

Please wear clothing you are happy to garden in and if you have work boots and gardening gloves please bring these with you or if not we can provide them.

Please ring or email to book a place or find out more information.

We also have other volunteer opportunities such as doing administrative work in the office and running fundraising events. Please ring for more information about these.
